I buy and test a lot of products for my kids, and I've learned through experience (and sometimes through wasted money 😅) that there are things you must check before paying. Here are the top five:
1 — Safety first
Before anything else I look for safety certifications and make sure the product suits my child's age. The age on the box isn't a marketing number — it's a real safety boundary.
2 — Will it actually get used?
- Does it solve a real daily problem for me?
- Or does it just "look cute" in the ad?
- How many times a week will I actually use it?
If I don't have a clear answer, I postpone the purchase for a week. The urge usually disappears!
3 — Easy to clean
Every kids product will get dirty. A lot. A product that can't be washed or wiped easily becomes a burden no matter how pretty it is.
4 — Real moms' experiences
I read the reviews, especially the negative ones. A complaint repeated three times is not a coincidence.
My advice: never buy straight from an ad — look for a real mom's experience first.
5 — The right price
The same product can vary a lot between stores. Always compare, and use discount codes — you'll find my updated codes on the discount codes page saving you money on everything.
I hope this list helps! And if you try it, tell me 💚
