Why I recommend it
Baby is an arm's reach away all night, making night feeds easier and checking on them a glance away.
My experience
In the early months, having baby close at night is a huge comfort, especially with frequent night feeds, and the Teknum bedside crib is built for exactly that. It attaches to your bed with adjustable straps, slides horizontally for a gap-free fit, and has two height levels from 43 to 61 cm to match most beds. Mesh sides let air through and let you see baby easily, and the quilted beige fabric looks elegant. It comes with a mattress and a mosquito net, rolls on stable wheels around the room, and also works as a standalone crib. Fairly priced for what it offers.
Pros
- Attaches to your bed with adjustable straps
- Horizontal adjustment for a gap-free fit
- Two heights, 43 to 61 cm
- Mesh sides for airflow and visibility
- Mattress and mosquito net included
- Stable wheels for easy moving
Cons
- Short use period, about 6 months
- First assembly takes some time
Important safety information
Safe sleep: always place baby on their back to sleep, on a firm, flat, non-inclined surface, alone in their own crib or bassinet, with a fitted sheet only — no pillows, loose blankets, bumpers, or toys. Share a room, not a bed. (American Academy of Pediatrics & Safe to Sleep).
Strap it to your bed so there is no gap between the two mattresses, and use only the included mattress with no pillows, toys or loose bedding. Always lay baby on their back with the crib flat; don't use the incline position for sleep, as safe-sleep guidance requires a completely flat surface. Stop using it once baby starts rolling or sitting up, or reaches the maker's weight limit.
