My experience

In the first couple of months a baby's vision is blurry and only strong contrast registers — black and white is exactly what draws them in. I used this book with my baby during tummy time, and he'd fix his gaze on the pages and try to follow them, which strengthens his neck muscles and focus at the same time. It's a light, safe, washable soft book with a gentle crinkle and simple savannah animal shapes. It's small enough for the diaper bag — I use it at home, in the car, and on visits.
